  ... I had taken Cymbalta about 2 years ago. I TOOK 60MG AND 30MG ALTERNATELY FOR A MONTH AND THEN TO 30MG. blurred vision I have been taking Cymbalta for a couple of years now. It is often difficult to treat and will sometimes go away only to reappear again. My psychiatrist only wanted me on the 2 of them for 2 weeks, which is why I have run out of cymbalta and my doctor is not in the office today and hasn't been for the whole weekend, which is why I have been off cymbalta since friday. Had it not been for my extremely understanding and supportive husband, and finding another site (check out healtdiaries. Usually I get very depressed on Sundays, but this past 3 day weekend I was fine all the time.

For anyone that wants to try the drug, go for it.

What a nightmare - the first months were good, but started to notice blurred vision. I will be switching back to Effexor this week. When I completely stopped, I was very depressed and anxious, was having "brain zaps", and was just not there mentally. Before I stopped taking this drug, I've had diarrhea, constipation, nausea, tingling in the extremities, jaw pain. The only reason I was looking was because I do sweat a lot and I was just curious as to if that was common on this drug, but I will certainly not stop taking it because I sweat. When switching to Cymbalta I had the worst depressive/anxious episode of my life, causing me to be completely out of whack, out of control of my emotions (all because my doc thought it would help my back pain). I am frightened by the weening I would need to do. The only side effects I got while on it were dizziness sometimes and an occasional brain zap (they were oddly satisfying - almost like a sneeze is). It may be my imagination, but already I feel like my mouth is rather dry all the time and my hunger pangs are already coming back. This is the 11th day I have felt this way. It has been part of a combined course of treatment for burning mouth syndrome. it's been 7 days since my first dose, i took 3 doses in total and i'm still feeling bad. I've learned the hard way to do some research before taking any new prescription. Before I went into the hospital I was sleeping virtually all day, one day I was only awake for 4 hours! The hyperhydrosis has gotten better some. The high cost of mental health is a topic that diserves much attention as well, but that will be saved for another day/forum). Cymbalta has kept that part of me in check for quite some time now. If you have children and/or pets, this is especially important, as you will have difficulty taking care of yourself, let alone your children. a week ago i was driving down the highway with my 4 yr old son in the car and i started to feel "funny" my face began tingling and started going numb.

I had a head injury almost 11 months ago, have a bad post traumatic stress disorder, along with the nerve damage, panic attacks, etc. for years, having to change every few years when they fail to work. Unusual spotting between menstrual cycles. What decided me was when my boss took me aside again saying my job performance was really suffering and she was worried about me. I felt pretty cruddy for a week or so, but I have noticed huge improvements in the majority of my symptoms. But after two weeks, the nausea and the other side effects (even the sexual ones!) were all but gone. Thank you all for your postings! You saved me from taking another pill! My pain management doctor gave me several bottles of 60 mg Cymbalta samples to help me cope with my physical illness.

Yes, Cymbalta can cause stomach/GI problems.

Also, a lot of times when I do wake up, I feel like something or someone is holding my eyelids shut, Like I can hardly open them! Like I am just totally drugged! The night terrors have gotten a little better, actually they are not better, I just dont have them as often. I also recommend that you google adrenal fatigue to find Dr. Weird, spaced-out, slushy head feeling, dizzy, nauseated, week and extremely sleepy. I suffer from high anxiety as I have been through many environmental changes in my life. I am committed to enduring all possible symptoms knowing I will feel better as time passes. Depression, i think, is a sign that your spirit has a lot of room to grow. I was suicidal and thought about death alot and even prayed for death to happen. I am in the process of getting off of this medicine and I am glad I found this website. I am worried I will lose my job if I cant get this straightened out.
